Edlers Gathering

A place to gather and share our culture.

From Our Mayor

Tansi,

Pinehouse Elders Gathering first began in 2010, the proud Indigenous community of Pinehouse wanted to celebrate our cultural traditions through music, art, dance, traditional medicines, traditional foods, and most importantly our language. Elders are the knowledgekeepers when it comes to tradition, language, and culture. We’ve created an opportunity to celebrate their lives while learning their teachings through music, art, dance, food, and humor. Throughout the week there is plenty of culture to go around to whoever has the opportunity to visit the community, starting June 15th through the 20th.

There will be cultural stations, large events, and plenty of traditional food to leave people smiling. There are also opportunities to continue old friendships or begin new ones, and learn from other communities and cultures, we have such a mixture of beauty through the week. We have visitors that come from all over our nation. Our sense of community is felt by everyone who attends. Our most sincere thanks to all who helped make this special event a reality. To the community, Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to make our home so welcoming. To our Partners, we truly appreciate our partners in surrounding communities, our partners in all levels of government, and of course our partners in industry.
